Sending a Bank Wire from India to another country is pain. I have been doing a lot of documentation for it and already visited CitiBank twice. They require me to make couple of more visits, more documentation and a certification from my Charted Accountant. Moreover, my bank is not even sure if they will be able to process the bank wire after all these hassles.

Its really True, because i have faced it ago with HDFC and the most interesting thing is that the Branch Manager also don’t have any idea how does it works properly….And finally i was unable to send that amount…
Lets hope for the best after 50 yrs

Hi, I read all of your comments and i feel that it would really take atleast 20 years for Indian Bankers to reach international level. I also tried the same think with ICICI and guess what answer i got. They said what is this, first go and buy dollars from an exchanger and than send it to USA. They were asking me crap things what will you do with this money, is this legal and do you know how can we bank wire. I mean why are they sitting there if they know nothing about Bank Wire or other Banking functions.
